Spring Break

I came back from my spring break on Monday and now I’m really ready for summer to be here. I did so many fun and cool things over my break and I thought I would share some of them with you guys.

The first weekend I was home my family and I went downtown to the Ponce City Market. It’s a cool little market on the beltline and there are lots of little shops and restaurants.

Throughout the week I helped my mom with some cakes and cookies and there were many late nights trying to get orders done.

On Wednesday night my sister gave her statement of faith as one of the last steps in her confirmation process and I was so glad that I got to be home to see her go through the end of confirmation.

On Friday night we had an event at church for the middle schoolers. It was called The Great Easter Egg Hunt and the kids were split up into groups of three or four and we raced to get to the giant golden egg first. My sister’s team won and that’s probably because she has two awesome parents who had done this before with her two older siblings and her big sister who took embarrassing pictures and videos at almost every stop. We got kicked out of two stores and made a few people mad at us but it was a lot of fun.

On Saturday we got up early and went downtown again. This time we went to find all of the tiny doors. Tiny doors was a project that started in Atlanta and the doors are placed all around downtown and they represent the culture of the area that they are placed in. A few of them no are no longer up because they got pretty damaged but it was cool to see the ones that are still up.

On Saturday night I got to play around on garage band and listen to some of the things that my dad had recorded with it. I finally got the chance to break out my awesome electric guitar that I haven’t played since I got it for Christmas about two years ago.

On Sunday morning my sister went through the final step of confirmation and became an official member of our church.

The break was filled with so much fun stuff and I was worn out by the time I came back to school. All I wanted to do was get some good rest and relax before jumping back into classes and I did get a full day of that on Monday and now I’m back into days of class from 11-9. I wish summer break would be here faster.

  1. I am totally jealous of your guitar. Mostly because I’ve always wanted to learn how to play one. But never really had the chance to actually go through with it. (Timing issues). I hope your guitar can finally feel the love after being abandoned for 2 years! 😛
Wish I could taste some of those baked goodies… My mouth is already watering by looking at those pictures!
